The campaign, which is drawn by the umbrella organization of international solidarity 11.11.11., Starts at 2.45 pm on the North Station in Brussels, from there they head towards the Jean Reyplein near the European neighborhood, where the arrival is planned around 5 pm. The participants will all wear a red garment, with which the crowd wants to draw a symbolic red line against the genocidal acts of Israel in Gaza.
Koen Wauters, Tamino and pregnant Guy still perform before the departure of the promotion. Dalilla Hermans also takes the floor and a video message will be gelivestreamed from Gaza itself. The message is clear: « enough is enough, » said 11.11.11.
With the symbolic action, 11.11.11, just like the countless organizations that have joined the action, wants to convince policy makers in Belgium and the European Union to make a fist against Israel. For the time being it stays mainly with words but keeps on acts, it sounds at the NGO.
However, 11.11.11, more than 70 percent of Belgians are convinced that the EU must impose sanctions on Israel – to the image of the sanctions against Russia. « War crimes, visiting citizens and blocking help can no longer stay unpunished, » it sounds.
