Thousands flocked to the Old Movies

The Icelandic tattoo conference, or Icelandic Tattoo Convention, took place over the weekend in its eighteenth and was a lot of glory.

Össur Hafþórsson, owner of Reykjavik Ink and organizer of the conference, says she has gone beyond hope.

The conference began on Friday and finished today. Ossur says a number of guests have divided thousands and people of all ages flocked to the Old Movies to get a tattoo.

« This is for people of all ages, we have got people in their seventies who get their first fluores. »

The cream of fluorescents

A total of 30 tattoos from around the world participated in the event, each with their own unique style and direction.

« If you don’t find your style here, it doesn’t exist. »

Skitamoral again cool

Asked about what the hottest fluoride of the year is, Ossur says a lot to choose from.

According to Ossur, the classroom is always popular, « Fine-Line » flur has been increasing and are hot at the moment.

« Even the good old » tribal « flags are back in fashion, so Skimo has become cool again, » adds Ossur.

The tattoos are as diverse as they are many.

The winds changed

The conference was first set up in 2006, but Ossur says the winds have changed tremendously since the conference was held for the first time.

He says it is much more appropriate to have a tattoo today than before. « Getting a cool flurry is like buying a beautiful jewelry, » says Ossur.

People choose a tattoo that has a symbolic meaning now. According to Ossur, flurry nowadays usually more significance than they did decades ago.
