Thomas Frank opens for Eriksen-comeback in the Premier League club
A strong bond from 2022
That question is rising higher and higher as the Danish midfielder’s contract with Manchester United are approaching expiry.
One thing is safe.
The 32-year-old Dane wants to play more-and now one of his former employers lets the door be squeezed.
At a virtual press conference with Danish media on Monday, there were positive tones from Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who does not exclude a reunion with Eriksen:
« Christian is a fantastic player, probably the best Danish player in recent times, and I think we were looking at Portugal most recently that he was doing really well and he is still a good place. There is no doubt that Christian would like to play something more, » says Frank according to TV 2.
Christian Eriksen made his comeback in the Premier League with Brentford at the beginning of 2022 after he had an ICD unit as a result of his cardiac arrest during the European Championships in 2021.
The stay in Brentford was considered a success by many, and that is also the impression Thomas Frank himself has. According to the manager, Eriksen had a strong period in the club, and the good cooperation has left positive memories of both parties.
Frank emphasizes that he is open to all players and will not exclude anything, but that many factors come into play before a possible transfer can become current.
