On June 28 and 29, Narva days will celebrate together with the XIII World Days of Estonian culture Esto 2025, which will unite Estonians from different countries. The program has an artist’s day, youth congress, city race, concert mobility, a fair of food and crafts, a festive procession and much more. Almost all of these events will be free.

This year, Narva will become part of the international program of the XIII World days of Estonian culture Esto 2025, which will begin in Stockholm, and will end at a singing festival in Tallinn in early July.

A unique opportunity

“This year we have a unique opportunity – to make the city days a holiday for people from around the world. The days of Estonian culture were accepted by cities such as Toronto, New York, Baltimore, San Francisco. More than a year ago, a proposal received part of the program in Narva and unite it with the days of the city. We agreed and were interested in the program not only traditional events for citizens, but also those that would be interesting to people from other countries: soap races, the artist’s day in the Krenholm Manufactory, a concert in the Alexander Church. All this will be interesting to both guests from Sillamyae and Melbourne and, of course, to the Narvites, ”Dmitry Vergun, deputy head of the culture department of the Narva Goroprava, told the Narvsky newspaper.

He noted that this year the festive procession will pass along the new route – from the town hall to the Narva Castle, which will become the main platform of the event. There will be a concert and a fair will work. By the way, the first time a separate company will be engaged in the organization of the fair, and 150 organizations will be sold. Moreover, the participants will become not only entrepreneurs from Estonia, but also artisans from Finland.

Until late in the evening

The first holiday will begin on Saturday, June 28, just from the food fair and crafts in the territory of the Narva Castle and in the park, it will work until late in the evening. On the same day, a spectacular and cheerful competition will take place on Paradise Street – racing in soapses. The program of the artist’s day at the Krenholm Manufactory will take two days this time and will allow guests to plunge into the world of contemporary art.

In addition, from central events, the organizers noted the Esto youth Congress on the topic “Multicipment opens the doors” at the Narva College, the race for one mile at äkkeküla and a concert in the Alexander Church of Cyrillus Kreek “Reekviem”, in which four choirs and a symphonic orchestra from Tallinn will take part. The concert program on the territory of the castle also includes performances by Ivo Lynna & Supernova and Stefan & Band.

The second day of the holiday will begin with the Narva city race in the picturesque zone of Joaorg. The program has a children’s race, 5 and 10 km distances. In parallel, the fair will continue to work in the Narva Castle. And the culmination of the event will be the arrival of a singing festival in Narva and Esto’s singing festival on stage in the Narva Castle. In the evening, the festivities will begin, where the popular folk groups Naid Köögis and Zetod will perform. The Swedest Song concert will complete the program at the old recondition of the Narva Castle.

“In my opinion, the program of the City Days and the Esto holiday will be truly popular. For the first time we conduct such serious professional training, raise issues of a single style and order. There are almost no free hotels in Narva for these dates. This year, it will be possible to feel the international spirit than ever, because tourists will come not only from neighboring countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, but also from Australia, the USA, ”added Dmitry Vergun.
Additionally, guests of the holiday are expected to tours around the city and the surroundings, exhibitions, installations and other cultural events.
