With a room -wide smile, Katleen Toté (51) and Carine Jacobs (62) from Temse show their newly purchased items. « The loot is in, » the duo shouts enthusiastically. « We went in like chickens without a head and really had no idea what we actually wanted to buy. That way we could not be disappointed if there were things that we wanted by se, but at the same time we found everything so interesting and we went outside with many more things than we originally thought. »

“We had seen the crowd in other places and knew that we had to be here on time. We were here at 8.20 am, but there were certainly a hundred people in front of us. We have to say that everything was well organized here and it went smoothly. Shopping itself was particularly pleasant. In the end we have a plant, two seats and some garden decoration, but we actually have everything, we have a bonking everything, we got everything on the head. Those chairs. ”

“Fortunately, a colleague of mine stood early enough in line and we were able to join her, albeit with the permission of the people behind us. I have to say that I did not expect such a long line. I knew how things were going in Bruges earlier this week, but had thought that it would be a lot quieter here. The opposite is true, because I didn’t bought one so much. Insert fleece blankets now that we are here, we will also take a look at the other stores. ”

Etienne van Impe (70) and Marleen De Grave (68) from Hamme Wikkelen carefully wrap their fragile purchases in paper and then shuffling out. « My service comes from this store and I wanted to take the opportunity to expand that a little further, but that was not really successful, » said Marleen.

« Fortunately we were able to use some other things and it was certainly not for nothing. We were sitting here from 8.30 am, but I was shocked when I looked behind me around 10 o’clock and the end of the row could not even see. Ronald van Vlierberghe (64) from Sint-Niklaas stood in line to buy some things for his granddaughter. “We succeeded in buying a ottoman, two mirrors and some small interior items. I was retired and therefore had time to get in line here. I arrived here around 8.40 am and knew that about thirty people were allowed to shop per half hour. I had calculated that I could buy it for each afternoon and I finally got it out for the afternoon. Thursday to Waasland Shopping, although we came a day earlier especially for this. ”

« By the way, I don’t understand that people just keep on joining in the back. That seems a bit against me, because I never believe that everyone’s turn today. Now I’m going to drink a coffee somewhere here to recover from this busy morning. »
