He added that the medium and long term remedy is for Romania to increase its production capacity.

« This means not to depend on others, not to resort to imports when it is drought, it does not blow the wind and this will ensure a much better price in invoices. Therefore, we have launched the most important investment program in the energy sector after the Revolution. There are 14 billion euros only non-reimbursable funds, look at the figures, we already start. System, it means eight years before this year. As for gas bills, he said that « we have no emotions », stressing that Romania has the « fourth » cheapest gas in the EU.

« At this moment, the compensation – ceiling scheme has been extended from April 1 to July 1, for electricity and until April 1, next year, for gas. We have no emotions, because, given the way the scheme is structured, with a ceiling from the manufacturer, throughout the chain to the final client, we will not have to compete, I think, the fourth cheapest gas in the EU, ”concluded Burduja.
