This is how long travelers on the A7, A8 and A9 on Sunday in the traffic jam
The situation on the motorways in Bavaria is tense on Sunday. Many travelers use the last day of the long weekend of May 1st for the return trip from a short vacation. Although the situation in the afternoon is a bit relaxing, a traffic jam on the A8 extends the journey time by about an hour, it reports ADAC. The streets are also noticeably full in other places.
Long traffic jams on A8, A7 and A9 after a long weekend of May 1st
In the morning the auto club reported two longer traffic jams on the A7. In the meantime, however, the traffic situation there has relaxed significantly. Only travelers from Füssen/Reutte to Ulm need around three minutes longer because of dense traffic between the border tunnel and the Nesselwang exit.
Problem area A8 between Munich and Salzburg costs travelers more than an hour
Regularly it builds up on the A8 between Munich and Salzburg. Because of a narrowed road, travelers often need significantly longer for this route. On Sunday too, drivers between the Rosenheim and Bernau trips on the Chiemsee have to bring at least an hour more time. There, traffic is currently standing still for around nine kilometers. The location at the site has been tense since the early afternoon.
The situation is similar on the opposite lane. On the way from Salzburg to Munich there is a nine -kilometer traffic jam on Sunday afternoon. According to the ADAC, travelers need around 45 minutes longer than usual for the route. On the same highway, traffic also stalls at the Ausfa Bad Reichenhall, which travelers currently only costs about two minutes on their way to the state capital.
Smaller traffic jams and dense traffic are also on the A9
There is also a smaller traffic jam on the A8 from Munich to Stuttgart. There are two kilometers long at Oberelchingen and Ulm-Ost. Travelers take around five minutes longer. On the A9 from Munich to Nuremberg, traffic stalls over ten kilometers long. Drivers should therefore plan around 20 minutes more between the Holledau triangle and the Ingolstadt-Ost exit. On the A9 from Halle/Leipzig to Nuremberg, a four -kilometer traffic jam ensures longer driving times. The ADAC reports between the Marktschorgast and the Bayreuth/Kulmbach triangle.
