The National University of Public Service Information Society Research Institute has recently prepared a representative domestic researchfrom which various age groups relate to artificial intelligence in Hungary. Surprising results have been achieved with generations of AI use.

« There is a age group distribution that older people use, for example, artificial intelligence, but not as significant as we would have thought. For a long time, it has been evident in digital services that research is not dependent on age and education, but really depends on human curiosity or experimentation. »

According to Árpád Rab, who worked as a senior researcher on the project, this is due to the fact that it is an easy -to -use tool. For example, in the chat window, you can give instructions completely in human language, so it depends mainly on your internal values, curiosity, and attitude instead of age or qualification to try the new technology.

Hungary is not left behind in the use of AI

According to the researcher, use trends in Hungary are very similar to anywhere in the world, and we are behind. However, he explained that this is usually the case in the early stages of technologies.

The expert also emphasized that research has shown that artificial intelligence was one of the fastest digital services at home. The fact that Hungarian users were so open to the novelty is because it is easy to understand because they imitate human behavior: Irish, draw, paint, write, and so on.

How do we relate to AI?

According to Árpád Rab, Hungary is outstanding in the sense that users not only simply decide whether they like it or not, but also think complex about artificial intelligence. For example, when the use of technology was studied in education, different results were obtained.

« In the classroom, the real people are clearly preferred, but we are farther from the classroom, such as the distribution and improving homework. They are very well aware of when it is good, when not. »

Most consciously, the 28 and 45 -year -olds are for artificial intelligence as they are already used for worknot just for fun, and they are open enough to try it. Usually this age group « infects » the older ones after it seems to work. The younger ones use it primarily for fun and simpler tasks. In their case, it is also typical that they are tried first within the application, so in many cases they do not realize that artificial intelligence stands behind it.

We do not regret the money for artificial intelligence

It is particularly interesting that, according to research, many Hungarians give money for artificial intelligence. Although it is typical in Hungary, people like to use it on the Internet, which is free. However, AI do not regret the money. About 700,000 Hungarians have a subscription for an AI-based service, which means up to $ 10-12,000 a month. From this it seems that Hungarian users see value in this area.

We also entrust their money and health

We also asked the expert about the areas where the AI ​​is most commonly used. There were surprising patterns in this too. For example, it turned out that in important areas such as health, law and finance, users are entrusted with technology.

« These are areas that are important: their money, our health, or whether they are punished. We need experts here and the explanatory ability of artificial intelligence is very good. »

According to the researcher, this means that artificial intelligence will play a role in important decisions of our lives. It is therefore important to develop a credible and ethical AI because people start to trust it and they will make bad decisions.

However, current observations show that users are less confident in AI, such as privacy issues or mourning processing. Currently, Hungarians are most likely to use AI in two important areas. As a tool that accelerates work and as a consultant that helps to get to know a particular area, such as the right.

According to surveys, it is clear (and this is important) that people realize that artificial intelligence can know better than a lawyer, but still want decisions to be made by man.

This is probably because we know that you can’t algorithmize decisions, every situation can be a bit different, others are a good condition. »
