There is a lot of agenda around the country tomorrow, the National Day of June 17th.

The day will be celebrated and something to find for the whole family in most parts of the country.

The program in Reykjavik

As a rule, the program will start in Reykjavik at a festival ceremony in Austurvöllur at 11.00. There, the President of Iceland will lay flowering from the Icelandic nation to Jón Sigurðsson’s monument and give a speech. The mountain woman also gives a speech and a parade then goes from Austurvöllur up to Hólavallakirkjugarð.

A parade will be completed from Hallgrímskirkja at 13.00 to the festival area in the Sound Park. Secret guests will join the group through the walk and the Svanur trumpet band will play.

There will be many things to do around the city, including an open house in the Reykjavík House School, National Festival joy in the Árbæjar Museum, Emmsjé Gauti and Væb in the Sound Park and much more.

The program in Hafnarfjordur

In Hafnarfjordur there is also a tight schedule from morning to evening and BMX Brós, Una Torfa, Emmsjé Gauti and more will appear in the center of Hafnarfjordur.

The Viking Festival will be in place at Víðistaðatún, a parade will be walked from Flensburg School down to Thorsplan and there will be entertainment and refreshments of various types.

Krakka-Karaoki, face painting, bouncy castles and art shows will also be offered.

The program in Gardabaer

In Gardabaer there will also be plenty to be had and the scouting company Vífill and Blárarasveit Garðabær Music School will lead a walk from Hofsstaðatún at Hofsstaðaskóli at 13.00.

The walk ends at Garðatorgi, where entertainment and jumping castles will be offered. Margrét Bjarnadóttir, president of the town council, gives a speech and a mountain woman, who wears the skating costume of the Gardabaer Women’s Association, performs poetry. Aron Can, Prettyboitjokko, Elsa from Frost, Latibær and other fun steps on stage and the Scouts will sell pop and candy.

The women’s coffee will also be in place along with face painting and evening concerts.

The program in Kopavogur

There will be plenty to be in Kopavogur tomorrow. The entertainment program will be both at Rútstún and at Versali and will also be a program at the town’s cultural center.

A parade with the Kópavogur School Orchestra and the Scouts leaves from MK and ends at Rútstún, which features the Mountain Women of Kopavogur, Bríet, Aron Can, Bogom Font, the Lotta Game Group and the best songs of the children. Gunnar and Felix will be introduced.

At Versali, Bríet, Aron Can, Bogomil Font, the Lotta and Bar Lata’s best songs, will be presented and Saga Gardar and Snorri Helga will be introduced.

The program in Mosfellsbaer

The program in Mosfellsbær starts with a festival service in Lágafell Church at 11.00.

A parade will then be completed from the downtown square to Hlégarður where the family program will take over with entertainment.

The annual catch competition will be at Hlégarðstúninn and bouncy castles, sales, scouting, sausage sales, face painting and much more in Hlégarður.

The program at Seltjarnarnes

There will be a lot to be and a varied program in Seltjarnarnes for the whole family.

At 10 o’clock, the Sailing Association will offer Sigurfari and the Rescue Squad Ársæl children accompanied by adults on boat trips from the marina at Bakkavör. Life jacket for everyone. Sailing is dependent on weather conditions.

Sr. Bjarni Þór Bjarnason serves for an altar at 11 am and Dr. Svana Helen Björnsdóttir engineer, town representative and chairman of the parish committee is meditating. The program in Akureyri
