“I had a fairly complete vision of the universe of this album. I used to draw ideas for my visuals. I work this in parallel with the composition. It helps me to think of a whole imaginary world in which I take refuge to write certain texts. For the cover, I wanted a black and white portrait. I have a weakness for images which are both very readable, but symbolic. I wanted it to tell a lot of things while being very simple aesthetically. And I ended up drawing what I had precisely in mind. What was going to become this image, this hand in the process of style. ”

“So there was this horrific, but elegant hand that painted me in a gesture that I find very tender. Even if there is something a little glaucous, it is a relatively calm and serene scene. I turn my back on this hand, as if I did not realize its monstrous appearance. I am quite fearful and I do not watch horror films. Inspiration is rather on the side of Tim Burton, of Nosferatu of Murnau and Disney classics where there is always a scary side. This monster hand translates the under control relationships I speak of in the album. If you want to know what's going on after it painted me, the answer is in the songs. ”

“There is no postproduction, everything was made live by photographer Arash Khaksari. I have a very clear vision of what I want and it is not easy to meet a third person with whom it matches perfectly. We agreed on the makeup artist we both knew. She painted and disguised with small prostheses this hand which belongs to the assistant of the studio. I had in front of me a return of the camera and I could say: “Go back a little hand or go down there ”. It's as if I face a mirror. I have the impression that a cover, especially for a first album, must be able to be summed up in a single sentence so that we understand directly what we are talking about. Of the genre: “Do you see the cover where there is a monster hand?” In my case, I think it is successful. «
