Osakrży Randall McKenzie and his partner Brandi Stewart-Sperry were convicted of First degree murder. According to CBC News, judge Andrew Goodman did not hide his emotions during the announcement of the sentence: – their act was ruthless and had no excuse. There is no mercy for them – he said on April 24 in court in Cayuga. They both can apply for release only after 25 years in prison.

However, for the loved ones a murdered policeman, these words could not bring relief. Polonia still mourns the death of the son of Podhale, a brother who gave his life, having no chance to defend.
They escaped from responsibility. They will not run away from the sentence now
On December 27, 2022, Grzegorz responded to one of the first calls during his independent service. Car in a ditch, near Hagersville in Canada. He came to help. Then suddenly arrows. Up to six times. Everything was registered by the camera, which he had pinned to the uniform.
– He could withdraw, he could get scared. He didn’t do it. From a child, he dreamed to wear a uniform and defend others – his colleagues from service recalled in the media, shocked by the tragedy.
Grzegorz’s death moved all of Canada. His funeral turned into a national mourning. Police columns, lights, hymn. Everyone talked about him: hero. The bravest of the brave.
The Podhale did not forget
