Utekáč. It lies in the attractive tourist location, it has a lot to offer to visitors, including a unique adrenaline attraction that is not elsewhere in Slovakia. The only thing he misses is an investor he gives a stable job there and people from the region. The industrial park has already been completely prepared for him.

The industrial park is ready
The industrial park grew up at a place where the glassworks once stood. At the time of her greatest glory, about eight hundred people worked there. In September it will be five years, as its main building sent 35 kilograms of explosives to the ground. The history is reminiscent of only a chimney from 1787. At the end of last year, a climbing wall has been added to the European unique.
However, the former breadwinner did not let hundreds of families. They built an industrial park on an area of 33,000 square meters.

The leaky roads are a thing of the past
To a village in one of the weakest regions in a country where municipalities without sewerage or water supply are not exceptional, it is a direct miracle. Even on the road, they can no longer complain in the Utekáč and its surroundings. They already have a new surface from Poltár and Brezno. The dreaded « tankodrome » towards Sihla, who has also scared courier or rescuers for many years, is a thing of the past.
« Indeed, the roads are important. Many people interested in the Utekáč discouraged them. When they were taken after them, they just waved their hands and we didn’t hear about them anymore, » the mayor said.
Now that the situation is different, he believes that a investor will be able to convince.
« The ideal industry would be the ideal industry. However, it should not be a simple robot, but working with added value. An investment that would give work to people of all levels of education, starting from high school, to university, » Brautiak outlined his idea.
He is convinced that the new plant was attracted especially for the young people who left the region.
If there is work, the young will return
« I did surveys on social networks. Therefore, I know that about 23-24 percent of young people would be willing to come back here. But the basis is the work.
He pointed out that tourism is also promising in the region, but they will not only live from it. When asked if life in the village for young people was attractive:
Not everyone wants to live in a city where he stands in constipation during his way to work. Many prefer life in the village, but, as I said, the basis is work. She is now woefully low in the run and its surroundings. But if we had an investor here, people from the surrounding villages and towns would also find employment. ”
Important negotiations
The fact that the investor runs away in the district of Poltár, in which according to the April tables of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, the unemployment rate across the 9 % border, even in neighboring Rimavskosobotski, has been the highest in the country for years, not only the mayor’s wish, his steps are also testified.
At the local office, they are handled by delegations from abroad and even the first man of the village does not fit with his hands. At the end of May he traveled to the Chinese city of Ningbo, where he was the only one of the mayors and mayors from Slovakia at the international forum.

« The topic of a major event in China was to strengthen urban development through global partnerships. I presented the cultural wealth of Utekáč and its surroundings, also pointed out the possibilities of cooperation in tourism, crafts and sustainable rural development, » Barutiak said.

He added that the aim of the forum, which took place within the wider initiative of China and the country of Central and Eastern Europe, is to deepen cooperation between regions, especially in the field of culture, education, innovation and exchange of experience between municipalities.

In the less developed region
