The priest who was previously a pastor in one of the Małopolska parishes, He did not plead guilty and gave his explanations. The prosecutor’s office justified the request for arrest with the risk of mathematics and the rawness of threatening punishment.
The allegations of him concern two events involving minors – one is a sexual offense, the other involved violating the child’s physical integrity.
The priest is not guilty. He has already been arrested
The case began with a notification transferred by the diocesan delegate for the protection of children and adolescents. After receiving information, the bishop suspended the priest as a priest, forbade him to perform public ministry and ordered him to be in a designated place.
The curia referred the case to the prosecutor’s office and conducted an internal investigation, the results of which went to the Vatican.

This is the fourth person with allegations in this investigation. In October last year Three other men were detained – two active priests and one former clergy. One of them, Jacek K., was arrested and heard four allegations regarding the harassment of children. The second, Dariusz L., will be responsible for nine similar acts – an indictment has already been sent in his case. What’s more, despite the bans, L. was to visit parishioners as part of the carol, for which he was punished by the bishop.
The investigation, which started in March 2023, has a broader context-began after the murder of a 26-year-old deacon in Sosnowiec. He died from the hands of a 40-year-old priest who later took his life. They both served in the cathedral.
In connection with numerous disturbing events in the Diocese of Sosnowiec, Bishop Artur important appointed special committees, including « explanation and repair », which are to investigate the last matters and improve the situation in the diocese.
