There are problems with an animal without papers.
Horná Nitra / BRATISLAVA. The revelation of the largest illegal breeding in the history of Slovakia, in which the cops in the Upper Nitra found almost nine hundred dogs, is only the tip of the glacier. The problem of multi -year -olds is nationwide and the country is hidden in inappropriate conditions a number of animals that are only a tool for business.
Adopers on popular breeds can earn a thousand per dog. Looking photos in advertisements are just a bait, animals usually suffer under conditions that people can’t even imagine, he says Kristína Devínska from animal freedom.

Are illegal breeding in Slovakia a widespread problem?
The breeding business is our national tragedy. In Europe we are holding a sad primacy. Without major restrictions and rare controls by the responsible authorities, virtually everyone in Slovakia can propagate in Slovakia. It is sufficient to register a breeding for the state of the veterinary and food administration, if you do not plan to sell puppies abroad, only a notice is required.
According to our information, the number of illegal propagating stations is declining. But we do not see it in the better condition of our shelters, where we take care of a number of irresponsibly soaked dogs. Among them are unproductive females or non -selling puppies that are sick or have some health or aesthetic defects.
How do you think the case of multiplairs in Upper Nitra will end?
In the case of multiparianists in Prievidza and Partizánske, we will certainly wait for the final decision, whether all the dogs from the multi -event will eventually be exempted. We have a bad idea that the breeder will receive measures and will continue in business with dogs.

What is characterized by illegal breeding?
The breeding is primarily illegal because it is not registered. However, even registration or notification of breeding does not guarantee that animals live in dignified conditions. We meet breeders who have part of their breeding registered and part is illegal.
If someone wants to buy a dog of a particular breed, the only guarantee is a license of origin, popularly speaking papers, often confused with a veterinary card. Buying without puppies should be avoided at all times, because you almost confidently support a business in which innocent animals suffer. Such « breeders » know a lot of ways as they will fool you at the moment they advertise dogs for sale.
Barked puppies in the photographs often live in cellars, barbeds, cages and makeshift areas. If you buy such a puppy, you do not save, but support the breeding business. You become part of it.
Just as the propagators care about their dogs during their lives, they often get rid of them. Ruthlessly, cruelly and violently, as if it wasn’t even feeling beings.
The violation of what rules does illegal breeds occur?
The rules are also violated in registered, legal farms. We will start with large numbers of bred animals where it is not possible for animals to be filled with behavioral and physiological needs.
Dogs are pet animals. The social name means that in their lives they inevitably need socialization, contact with man, stimulating surroundings, enough movement, kind access.
We encounter catastrophic hygiene conditions, neglect of the health of often ending death. Unfortunately, some animals live in our shelter and we are not able to help them for diseases that the propagator has been intentional for years. People cannot even imagine in what conditions these animals are kept.
Where do illegal farms hide and who are the most common people who operate?
They are hidden in smaller villages, villages, in more remote locations and socially disadvantaged communities. However, the exception in this case confirms the rule and your neighbor from the side apartment may also be the propagator.
If you encounter the designation “without paper” or the abbreviation “without PP”, it is always necessary to make attention. Even if you buy a puppy or cat with a pedigree, ask for visits to the home environment from which it comes. Decent breeders have nothing to hide.
What dogs are most multiplying?
Most often these are small breeds. Production of multiparianists follows demand and people are more interested in smaller dogs. Most of the Yorkshire Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Maltese Pinca, French bulldog and others. Muscary even by crossing produce varieties that are not actually official breeds. An example is the so -called Maltipoo, which is a cross of Maltese Pinca and Poodle.
What animals except dogs do illegal breeding in Slovakia produce?
Especially for puppies and kittens, followed by other pet animals, such as malnas. In the case of the sale of cats, the problem is difficult to map, because in Slovakia it is not mandatory to chip and register.
