Thessaloniki: Hidden in Bananas Bands, cocaine worth more than 2m euros
More than 81kg of cocaine was identified by her auditors AADE Inside two containers with bananas, which came from Ecuador and destined for the port of Thessaloniki. Three days earlier, another cargo of cocaine was seized in bananas from Ecuador.
According to the announcement, AADE auditors of the 1st Customs Office of Thessaloniki during regular sampling of checks were identified by drugs using a H-Ray self-propelled. Cocaine was hidden in the refrigeration machines of the two containers with fresh bananas.
The value of the seized cocaine is estimated at around 2,250,000 euros.
Customs auditors, in collaboration with the Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki, immediately seized drugs, with the investigation to identify the perpetrators continuing.

Another serious blow to the organized drug smuggling was achieved by the AADE Customs Auditors, with the detection of more than 81 kg of cocaine, within two (2) bananas containers, coming from Ecuador and to the port of Thessaloniki.
In particular, AADE auditors of the 1st Customs Hospital of Thessaloniki, during regular sampling checks, found with the use of a H-Ray self-propelled, suspicious organic matter in the refrigeration machines of the two (2) containers with fresh bananas.
The value of the seized cocaine is estimated at around 2,250,000 euros.
