And whether there is a close team working in daycare center Babs. Fourteen employees recently had the logo of the daycare center tattooed on their bodies. « We are proud to be able to work here, » they say.
The daycare center Babs along Kasteelstraat in Sint-Eloois-Winkel has been around for twenty years. That birthday was celebrated a few months ago during a grand party, to which everyone who once came to the daycare was invited. But the employees themselves went one step further.

« I can count on a fantastic loyal team of twenty -two employees, » said business manager Babs Desmet. « The idea arose to give them the chance to have the logo of the daycare center, a child, tattooed on their bodies. »
Babs recently took the employees to Djoels, the tattoo artist who also applied a large wall painting a few years ago near the daycare center.

Afraid of needles
The employees could choose whether or not they wanted a tattoo. « It is understandable that some people prefer not to sit in the chair. For example, one of my most loyal employees is afraid of needles. » Fourteen employees let Djoels be tackled and now have a BABS tattoo.

The ladies chose to place the Babs logo on their foot, leg or arm. Babs had the child placed on her arm for five times. « The five logos stand for the five different branches of Kinderopvang Babs. Yes, I have promised not to expand anymore. »

In the past, expanding childcare Babs did. In the past twenty years it has been from a small childcare to a place where around one hundred and fifty children come across. « But without my employees this would of course never have been possible. Everything is love, I had that tattooed among the logos. Without their love for their job and the children who come here, Kinderopvang Babs would not be what it is today. »
Small but great meaning
Annelies Vanderstraeten, among others, is a loyal employee of Kinderopvang Babs. « I already have a few tattoos, but now also had Babs logo put on my ankle. A small tattoo, but with a great meaning. I am proud of it. Thanks to Babs, I have been blown open to what I am now for the past eight years. Babs is a second mom for me. »
