These are the three leading actors of the new « Harry Potter » series

Who plays Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermine Granger in the new « Harry Potter » series? Now the names of the three newcomers became known: As Warner Bros. explained in a press release, the HBO series Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermine Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley will be seen.

Show runner Francesca Gardiner and producer Mark Mylod praised the three discoveries: her talent was « unique, and we can hardly wait for the world to experience its common magic on the screen. We would like to thank all of the tens of thousands of children who have applied. » According to HBO, over 30,000 children are said to have participated in the castings.

The planned series should remain much closer to JK Rowling’s popular book template. While the films were divided into eight parts, one season per book is planned for the series – seven seasons. The format offers space for more details.

It has already been confirmed that Comedien Nick Frost would take on the role of the Hagrid. John Lithgow will embody Professor Dumbledore. Janet McTeer (Professor McGonagall) and Paapa Essiedu (Professor Snape) will also be part of the game. Newcomer Luke Thallon, a theater actor, and British comedy star Paul Whitehouse complete the known cast.
