As soon as the airplane reaches the airport path, for some, the work is just starting.

Mark has been working in aviation for five years, although he admits that he has been in chance alongside planes.

« I never thought I would work at the airport, but a friend asked if I wanted to try, I tried it and stayed, » said Mark cargo service agent.

But there is a lack of such people in aviation. One of the largest aircraft overhead service companies in the country is currently looking for 25 new employees.

« From cargo, luggage managers who load, unloading luggage, arriving, departing passenger service agents, dispatchers, ramp agents, » said Asta Jurėnaitė, Director of Litcargus Personnel.

According to the Civil Aviation Association, this moment is missing handworks to the ground – 150 aircraft crew and as many as 250 aircraft mechanics and engineers.

« New companies are being established, new airlines are emerging and aviation will grow. This means, and the need for aviation specialists will certainly grow, » said Laurynas Šišovas, Vice -Aviation Institute at Vilnius Tech.

But this lack of specialists is also due to flights hunger. At Lithuanian airports, passenger traffic increased by 12 percent in April.

« With the onset of the aviation summer season, the last few months we really see two -digit percentage growth at Lithuanian airports. This is determined not only by the desire to travel, the holiday season, but also the returning popular directions, » explained Martynas Jaugelavičius, a spokesman for Lithuanian airports.

And by the end of the year, travel scale can reach a new record – 6 million 800,000 people will fly.

« We already put 500 with passengers on one aircraft. Definitely the number of passengers is impressive. Probably travel hunger and hunger of excitement are attracted to more and more people, » said A. Jurėnaitė.

In some directions, airplanes are already missing.

« We know what the situation in the world is – there is a lack of planes.

When such pace, employees may not be suddenly and will not come. Will that not be able to make traveling plans? Or maybe queues will be formed at airports?

« Flight safety and punctuality – we try to ensure this, only colleagues have more loads, » said Litcargus Personnel Director.

« Lithuanian airports do not feel such problems. We made solutions a few years ago to have the right number of employees, especially in critical moments, as aviation security checks, and we hope that partners working at Lithuanian airports will find the right number of workers to keep all the rounds smooth, »

« In recent years, the interest of engineering in various fields has been increasing – no exception is aviation studies. The results of admission remain stable and even grow, » said the Vice -Dean of the Vilnius Tech Aviation Institute.

And it takes just three months to gain first knowledge.
