There are 12 more patients in the fire in Kocani in foreign and domestic hospitals, one is in serious condition, says Klekovski
The situation with the injured in the tragic fire in Kocani is constantly being monitored, there is progress in their treatment carried out in domestic hospitals, and the state has the capacity to respond to the needs for further treatment, said the director of the Health Insurance Fund (HIF), Sasko Klekovski at today’s panel discussion « Kocani ».
-At the moment we have 12 injured in hospital treatment, of which seven are abroad. Two in Serbia, two in Greece, two in Turkey, one in Slovenia and five are in the country. One patient still, conditionally, is in serious condition, is in Slovenia because they have decided to rehab there. Of the others treated, we have 16 plasma treatments enriched with platelets and without platelet enrichment, six at the Plastic Surgery Clinic and ten in St. Naum Ohridski. Dressings and similar treatments were 38 injured, in hospitals « September 8, » St. Naum Ohridski « , » Acibadem Sistina « and five in Kocani. There are 46 people on physical therapy, all of whom in Kocani, only one person is in « September 8 » because they have both dressings and physical therapy – said Klekovski.
The decision to return the injured for treatment was made because there were three hospitals with the capacity for appropriate health treatments, and especially good results gives plasma treatment. He emphasized that medical staff for conducting physical therapy has been provided at the Kocani General Hospital.
-In Kocani we have two fystric and four physical therapists for those 46 patients. Meanwhile, a pulse of 15 fistras and six physical therapists from the Kozle Clinic, for physical therapy and « September 8 » have been formed, and they will be available at the Kocani General Hospital. Part of these fystric will be involved in the assessment of the condition and how the patients are rehabilitated. Patient Monitoring Working Group has so far assessed about 160 injured, and another 15 patients have not been available and they are in communication to be involved – Klekovski added.
According to the director of the HIF, the process of treating the injured will take a long time, and the seven doctors in the working group are from the clinics who participated in the receipt of the injuries after the tragic fire. At a time of one to two months they will make assessments of the progress of the injured recovery.
