Jamie Oliver It is no accident that one of the most popular chefs in the world is that it can make a real experience even from the simplest food – and it teaches everyone the same! This is also the case with this homemade strawberry-vanilla ice cream recipe.
The base is simple enough: juicy strawberry, sweet cream, milk and sugar . But Jamie’s advice, after some mixing and freezing, are transformed into a great ice cream.
Strawberry-vanilla ice cream
Ingredients:
600 g of fresh strawberry
100 g of powdered sugar
600 ml of sweet cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box (approx. 400 ml) compressed milk
50 g of shattered meringues
Preparation
Eperperserave: Wash, clean and cut the strawberries in half. In a frying pan, heat the icing sugar until slightly caramelized. Add the strawberries and two tablespoons of water and simmer for about 15 minutes until the strawberry softens and the mixture becomes syrupy. Filter the mixture on a filter, allow the syrup to cool completely.
The ice cream sole: In a large bowl, whisk the cream with the vanilla. Carefully mix the condensed milk to get a smooth cream. Add the crushed meringues and carefully rotate the mixture.
Pour the prepared cream into a dish for freezing. Pour the cooled strawberry syrup over the top and stir with a spoon gently to make a marble pattern. Cover the container and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours until the ice cream is solidified completely.
Tip: Before serving approx. Take it out of the freezer 30 minutes to soften a little and easier to spoon. Serve in cups or funnels and decorate with fresh strawberries and other shattered meringue if you see it as good.
