The woman who accused Prince Andrew to commit suicide
Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse, committed suicide. He was 41 years old.
Relatives announced on Friday that she was a « ferocious warrior in the fight against sexual abuse » and that « the price of abuse became unbearable. »
« He lost his life through suicide, after being a life victim of sexual abuse and sexual trafficking, » said in a statement of his family.
« Virginia was a fierce fighter in the fight against sexual abuse and sexual trafficking. She was the light that raised so many survivors, » says the family.
Virginia Giuffre was one of the most open accusers of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, her former friend. She claimed that they trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17, what Prince Andrew vehemently denied.
Virginia died on Thursday at her western Australia farm. She lived with children and her husband, in the suburb of North Perth, although recent information suggests that the couple had separated after 22 years of marriage.
Three weeks ago, she announced on Instagram that she had been seriously injured in a car accident.
