The week in which Dick shoved off for the first time
The geopolitical crisis has now really been beaten in The Hague and threatens the brittle coalition of PVV, VVD, NSC and BBB. Last week Prime Minister Dick Schoof had agreed to the contours of a European Plan worth around 800 billion euros to support Ukraine, now there was a chamber motion that the Netherlands called on it not to continue with that. As a result, problems for the Cabinet Schoof: because three of the four coalition parties supported the motion.
In these Haagse Affairs You can hear from Lamyae Aharouay, Rik Rutten and Marko de Haan about the crisis atmosphere in The Hague in recent days. We discuss the financial world that lies behind this discussion, whether those European loans are or not Eurobonds and how the Dutch position is looked at from Brussels.
