The wedding of another time – customs and traditions – the angle – see the world as it is!
For the purpose of researching, preserving and capitalizing on knowledge about the bridal ritual, in order to preserve and transmit the spiritual inheritance of the nation to the young generations, on February 23, at the Ungheni Culture Palace, the national-practical-practical symposium was held in the memory of Efim Jungia, 85 years old, in the 19th year,
« We set out to bring to the fore the wedding habits practiced in the past, their beauty, as well as their importance in preserving our national identity. This achieves us because of the cultural partnerships between the Raional Section of Culture and Tourism Ungheni, the Romanian Philology Institute « Bogdan Petriceicu Hajdeu » of the State University of the Republic of Moldova, the History and Ethnography Museum and the Ungheni Culture Palace. We hope that this symposium will be a learning, discovery and celebration of our traditions ”, mentioned the head of the district of Culture and Tourism Ungheni, Vadim Pâslaru, in his greeting message at the beginning of the event.
On the working agenda of the symposium were included a series of communications and practical exercises with bridal content. « The anthology of folklore, family habits, perspective of preserving the rituals » was the content of the communication presented by Mariana Cocieru, researcher and coordinating, head of the folk sector of the Romanian Philology Institute « Bogdan Petriceicu Hajdeu », the State University of the Republic of Moldova, which brought to the custom ancestral and gave a high appreciation to the workers of the field of culture in the Ungheni district. « Through the efforts you make, but especially by conducting such symposiums you contribute to the valorization of our immaterial cultural heritage, but also pay tribute to the folklorist Efim Jungian, to your land, who has left us a rich folkloric inheritance. »
According to the moderator of the event Tatiana Babin, a specialist in the Unagheni Culture and Tourism Section, over the years at the previous festivals, dedicated to the folklorist Efim Jungietu participated folklorists with renowned: Tudor Colac, Nicolae Băeșu, Iulian Filip, Grigore Bămăzatu and Rulelei Botău.
This year present at the event was Tatiana Botnaru, doctor in folklore, superior scientific researcher at the Romanian Philology Institute « Bogdan Petriceicu Hajdeu » of USM, who in his communication with the generic « folkloric texts in the family universe – intrigue and archetypal situations » folkloric inserted in his works. « Folklore research is a workman work, which I do very dearly. In my works there are their place and many folklore samples from the creation of Efim Jungian, but I would like to emphasize that the folklore research in the Ungheni district occupies a special place, as it only exists in other localities. We can see this even in this symposium, ”the researcher said.
The symposium was an interactive one at which the culture specialists came with a series of communications. Ina Bilețchi, the director of the School of Arts in the city of Cornești presented the communication « Wedding in the Eminescian creation ». Tatiana Listru spoke about the Concrete customs from the History Museum in the village of Pârlița, as well as other participants. « At the wedding the content was an important figure, he took care for the good development of the wedding, » said Tatiana Babin, a specialist at the Ungheni Culture and Tourism Section.
A theoretical demonstration of the custom « Removing the bride from the house » was made by the director of the Cultural Home in the village of Măcărești, Aliona Buraga, and the practical part of the custom was presented by the popular dance group « Lunca Prutului » from the same locality, led by the choreographer, Tudor Babin. The same custom, but in another formula, was presented by Lidia Bolișoi, the leader of the folklore collective « the peasants » from the Cultural Home, Florițoaia old.
About artisan habits, such as the importance of wedding towels, Eudochia Goian, a history teacher Costuleni, and about the ritual bread at weddings, spoke, the director of the Cultural Home in Petrești village, Olesea Lazariuc. The end of the event was crowned with the theatrical habits « The shower of the house at home » and the « Wine of the bride » presented by the folkloric group « Tutorițele » from the Cultural Home in Todirești village, led by Elizaveta Mămăligă.
