How does fashion sound?
On May 23-24, the spaces of the Contemporary Art Center will turn into a giant podium, which will be shaken not only by hundreds of models, but also by a special musical background. Martynas Baranauskas, an electronic musician, producer and DJs, will be located at the console. Having repeatedly stepped on the podium of the Fashion Infection, he knows best how to set up a party. M. Baranauskas stands out with a deep, minimalist sound that fits DowNtempoTo, HouseTo, Ambient and Techno Music elements, in sensitive works, often feature Lithuanian poetry.
On Saturday, May 24, at the invitation of Sandra Straukaitė, a unique audio artist and electro-acoustic music composer arrives from Paris specifically from Paris Tarek atto. Born in Lebanon and currently creating T. Ath, France is distinguished by original musical experiments, born and cooperation with like -minded artists. Together with the team, he constructs a variety of instruments, emphasizing the sound and shape of integrity. During the shows, the composer himself says he will play in Vilnius for their own pleasure and hopes that viewers will also dive into the multi -layered, sensitive space that highlights his sound.

SHOP-AS- for renovation of stylist cabinets
May 20-22, on the eve of the Fashion Infection Festival, the Library of the Contemporary Art Center will be located a special designer pop-up Shop-US space. If you do not always be able to get into the designer studio, for three days the most faithful stylist will have the opportunity to look live, grab the tufts of designers who create Lithuania and abroad. It will be possible to see and buy this year’s festival participants – Reda Paula, Kristina Kruopienė, Bertemilija, Diana Paukštytė, Raimedo Latvis, Ula Aleksandravičiūtė, Sandra Straukaitė, Povilas Gegevicius, Domantas Šmaiis and Serena Coelho of Copenhagen. Also, the loyal names of « Fashion Infection » in the previous year: Inga Skripka, Akvilė Jančauskaitė and Adele Burokaitė. It is a good opportunity to complement the closet for those who have nothing to dress forever.

Fashion Infection will soon be invited to immerse yourself in a bold, surprised fashion experience. On May 23-25, not only the brightest Lithuanian designers, but also intriguing guests from abroad will be marked by the podium at the Contemporary Art Center. This year’s festival is boldly asking « what lies under the trendy facade » and promises to reveal the multi -layered fashion world, from conceptual design to emotional certainty, from aesthetic minimalism to provocative forms. « Fashion Infection » remains faithful to its spirit – the most important thing is not to give up on standards, but to speak freely and creatively about the modern world through fashion.
