The vote is not given for minor personal benefits

The People’s Advocate, Erinda Ballanca explains in the « trace » the situation with political rights in the country. It will highlight the right to protest and the right to vote as the two areas where there are still problems. She points out that Albania should make free elections, the result of which to be accepted by all parties.

« In terms of political rights or rights related to the free exercise of the right to protest or the right to vote, there are small problems, which I believe should be addressed. But they are not only unique problems for Albania. Right, it is one of the essential problems we have in creating this terrible distrust of what we have, our state, and what we really have to experience in our lives, ”the people’s lawyer notes. Balance also has a criticism for citizens who do not see the vote as a moment to change the future, but as a moment to get a personal benefit.

« I have always had a huge concern that we have turned into a country, where whenever elections occur in the country, the thing that is required is a personal benefit. The people are now necessarily demanding from political forces or securing a job, or securing another benefit and no longer see the ideal; Albanians have 3 or 4 choices that have begun and think only in a small narrative, of a small individual benefit, and this I believe has been one of the main causes that have ruined democracy in the country.

The vote is not given for small personal benefits but to vote the best option. So I believe that this needs to be addressed to all Albanians to understand the essential purpose. I am convinced that many people will be refractory to what they are listening to but it is important for us to see in the critical eye too; Both I, and the citizens of themselves what is the part they have in creating this situation that exists in Albania with the elections; That we do not obey the outcome of the elections and we fail to even trust a very reasonable reasons and this brings a situation that is repeated in negativity and we have completely lost the belief that in Albania the change can come to the choice, ”Erinda Ballanca explained

Balance also has a criticism of the political class. « If we at any moment, for any advancing with consensus, give a negative connotation, we do not accept it, as we do it, we will not move forward as a society. The European Union and the European Union Politics is precisely the policy of consensus. Do not advance at a particular issue at all.

I think there is a need for a change in access even in terms of rights. And what is more important needs a change in the approach to accept those that are positive in our country, the positive advancement we have had and of course to require an improvement in many areas and aspects of our lives. But it starts from us. We need to believe more, and we must try to fight ourselves, to be part of the change, part of the improvement, to move something forward, ”the People’s Advocate said.
