The victory in Podravska ‘Evening for 5’ was given to Branko: ‘I will surely make the whole team for dinner’
Mladen Mikulinjak He was cooking the last day of Podravsky Week ‘Dinner for 5‘. Mladen scored 35 points for his dinner and finished fourth, and Branko won with 39 points.
The host began the preparation of dinner with the main meal, which he called ‘mix baking’, three types of meat, of which he prepared a part on a grill, and a part in the baking oven, which the young himself made himself. As a side dish, he prepared potatoes, batat, cauliflower and baked mushrooms. Then he was preparing a chicken soup for the appetizer, which he called ‘the current inspiration’. It is left to prepare a dessert, a colorful roll he called ‘fat’.
The team said in the van that they were expecting a barbecue for dinner, as they believe Mladen was all for dinner, I prepared and commented that the week had passed them quickly. Mladen welcomed his guests with the occasional aperitifs and juice for Anamari.
« I think our host was a little tired of cooking and that he had a little porch, » Jadranko commented.
After the aperitif, the team settled at the table, and the host served an appetizer, a chicken soup in a bowl in the middle of the table. Branko and Matija also added salt this time, and Jadranko commented that he was dark.
– The appetizer soup is fine, but we are from the area where we have a minimum of every Sunday, so I’m not very thrilled – said Matija, and Anamarija added: ‘It was delicious, it was great.’
The main course was also served in the middle of the table, which was liked by guests.
– The main course looks great and I was very happy that I could take it out on my own on a plate of how much I wanted, – Anamarius commented pleased, and Matija added: ‘It suffered to me that we could take ourselves what we wanted, because let’s say that cauliflower if she had been on my plate, I wouldn’t eat it.’
Branko was not delighted with the main meal.
– The taste was fine, but I don’t think it was appropriate for this dinner. We all tried to do something extra, and now we eat the barbecue in the end, it is not it, but it tastes good.
The dessert did not fascinate the guests. Matija and Branko was not sweet enough, and Anamarija commented that the dessert was sweet enough for her, but he looked a little boring.
« The dessert was good for me, but it was not as sweet as I normally like, » Jadranko concluded.
– The atmosphere was a little weird because everyone talked and commented on their side, so it was scattered – Anamarija admitted, adding that the atmosphere was good, but to be better that the host did not leave the table every now and then.
After dinner, the host was joined by girls in Ivanec’s costumes that shared the gifts, and then a musician Krešo came to playing on the electric guitar.
– I love rock, but I missed someone to sing. Still, there was a surprise and otherwise, that she was not a tambourine or accordion again – Anamarius commented.
It remains to be declared the winner. The fifth place remained empty, and in the fourth, Mladen found himself, who was visibly disappointed with his placement. In third place with 36 points was Anamarija, second with 38 they shared Jadranko and Matija, and Branko was named the winner with 39 points. Mladen scored 35 points – Anamarija and Jadranko gave the host ten points, Matija eight and Branko seven.
– I’m very surprised because I thought Matija would win and the competition was good. With the award I will perform the whole team for dinner and I will make my friend Sanja, who gave me the kitchen – said the winner.
