Mr. Fominov was shot dead on March 15, 2002, when he returned home to the country village of Agrarnik near Odintsovo.

More than a dozen defendants are charged with a whole series of custom -made murders, attempts and extortion. It is worth noting that the alleged killer of Mr. Fominov denies guilty.
