At the origin of the affair that has been holding the canton of Vaud for weeks, there is a bilateral relationship crisis between Dittli and the head of the tax administration, Marinette Kellenberger. According to the Studer report, there was a climate of distrust that affected the work in the department and ultimately the functioning of the state. Six employees in the department are currently on sick leave. Kellenberger retires prematurely as soon as a successor has been found.

Dittli wants to stay in office

Kellenberger accused Dittli a number of misconduct and overall skills in connection with tax dossiers. Mediations did not fruit. At the beginning of the year, the government council commissioned Jean Studer to examine the financial directorate. He did not confirm most of the allegations to Dittli’s address. One conclusion is that both Dittli and Kellenberger have crossed their skills.

At an important point, Studer Dittli accuses of having not acted in accordance with the law. Accordingly, the middle politician has requested the cancellation of already final tax assessments. « This is an earthquake, an unacceptable intervention, » said Studer when asked about a journalist. It is about dispositions by natural persons who benefit from a so -called “tax protection sign”. This ensures that the tax authorities do not close too confiscation.

Dittli started her explanations with the sentence: « I’m fine. » She was glad that the report that she had initiated herself was now available – and she takes on her responsibility. Dittli showed through that she did not fully share the assessments of Studer. She always strictly respected the law. A resignation is currently out of the question. When asked about her leadership style, she replied: « Some people do not accept that I am the head of the department. » She brings confidence to her employee.

Meanwhile, the government submitted criminal complaint against unknown persons for violation of the official secret. A lot of information about the Dittli affair was leaked to the public before the report of the report.
