The University of Luxembourg takes the « Guild of European Research-Inensive Universities »: A step to excellence

The University of Luxembourg is now part of the « Guild of European Research-Inensive Universities », a network that combines 23 leading research universities from 17 European countries-including academic heavyweights such as the King’s College London, the University of Vienna or Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL).

By joining the university, the university underlines its self -image as a research -strong internationally networked institution, according to the press release. In her research, she combines basic research and applied sciences, with special attention to interdisciplinarity: Social and humanities (SSH) meet here on natural sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (stem).

The University of Luxembourg is also the only public university in the Grand Duchy as a talent factory in the country. International mobility, personal support and lived multilingualism shape the courses – over 60 percent of students come from abroad.

University Rector Jens Kreisel sees a strategic step in the accession: « I see The Guild as the heart of our international strategy.
