From the reception of the participants, through the process of reviewing government reports and decisions, to the traditional ceremony of serving tea during the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultation Conference, the entire protocol is flawlessly precisely, as according to choreography. Such an atmosphere reviews reports and decisions that will determine not only the direction of Chinese politics, but also in numerous processes.

The unique structure of the Chinese political system, the engagement of the political leadership of the People's Republic of China and the way of making decisions in the state management of over 1.4 billion, are probably best seen through the impressive organization of the most important annual political rally. « Two sessions », held this week in Beijing, and especially at the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultation Conference on Tuesday.

From the reception of the participants, through the process of reviewing government reports and policies, to the traditional ceremony of serving tea, the whole protocol is flawlessly precisely, as according to choreography planned to the smallest details. In such an atmosphere, reports and decisions are considered that will determine not only the direction of Chinese politics, but also in a number of processes globally. A total of 6,019 proposals were submitted last year, with 5,091 proposals considering, while 99.9 percent of the proposals were approved, as highlighted in a report on the work of the conference presented by China's top political advisory body, Wang Hunning.

Everything is under thread: From security to political processes

Starting from the very entrance to the big hall of the people in the Tiananmen Square in downtown Beijing, it is passed through several security rings, but the implementation of the necessary security protocols takes place quickly and without stalling, which passes almost unnoticed. This is a particular commendation, given that over three thousand journalists and a thousand photojournalists around the world are accredited for the event, besides delegates and other participants from all over China.

After the delegates' entry into the gym and the intonation of the Chinese anthem, the process of addressing the highest officials begins, reviewing reports. Thereby, there are almost synchronous pages of the participants, which creates a striking sound, similar to a sudden fast -paced flame. The accompanying individual speeches of the participants of the gathering also cause great interest among the journalists present, who follow their addresses with particular attention and then surround them on their way out of the hall to receive statements from them. Caution also attracts the ceremony of serving tea during which staff in identical uniforms, gracefully and choreographed, moves among the delegates to serve them with the refreshing drink. All this makes the ceremony interesting to follow, even without understanding the speakers. A similar atmosphere was present at the announced press conference ahead of the « Both Sessions », at which a spokesman for the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultation Conference, Liu Jijiyi, was patiently answering journalist questions. Many journalists, cameramen and photojournalists present, because of the great interest in the press conference, had to get in to get a favorable place in the gym, but there was no noise or discomfort, but they all managed to peacefully and quietly take positions, and then the journalistic questions and the journalistic questions were coming.

Reporting from « both sessions » is a rare privilege and professional challenge, which provides a unique opportunity to look closely at the efficient way of working on the Chinese political system in order to bring the impressive process closer to the public. On the eve of the « two sessions », the organizers said China would further open its doors wider to the world, which is really going on in Beijing these days.

The Chinese media's openness to cooperation impresses

« Both sessions » are of great interest between domestic and foreign media with about three thousand journalists and a thousand photojournalists and cameramen around the world. The way of working for Chinese journalists who follow the event with great interest and enthusiasm is commendable, using every opportunity to talk to colleagues from abroad. During various events within the « two sessions », foreign journalists coming from all over the world, including me, answered numerous questions by Chinese media about our visit to China and the monitoring of « both sessions » on the kind request of domestic journalists. Their openness to co -operation and information exchange proves to be particularly useful in reporting from China.

– As a journalist of an international companion on Chinese state television, my role is to help give China a « translation » to the global audience. Cooperation with foreign colleagues is particularly important as it gives insights into their interests and narratives-says Huang Fei, a journalist on Chinese state television Si-Ji-EN.
