The union’s dissatisfaction, at the ears of Minister David

The Ministry of Education and Research has made note of the public statement of the educational unions expressing a series of dissatisfaction and union measures accordingly and invites their representatives to discussions.

In the opinion of the unionists, the increase of the teaching norm would be an ‘irresponsible’ decision as the teachers are already overloaded with didactic and extracurricular/extracurricular activities, with continuous training activities and with administrative tasks.

According to them, the descent of the salary threshold according to which the holiday vouchers and the food allowance will determine the elimination of these rights for a significant number of employees and will lead to a decrease in the purchasing power, which will, in particular, affect the teaching staff, at the beginning of the career, the administrative teaching staff.

The teaching teaching staff is « deeply restless and revolted » by the proposals that appeared in the public space regarding the modification of the status of holder in education and that they would carry out their activity for 8 hours a day in the educational units, the quoted statement said.

The three trade union federations also pointed out that, if Wednesday the protest will be treated with ‘indifference’, and the future government will put into practice the proposals of measures that will affect the educational employees, are determined to trigger extensive protest actions.
