The trial of the questioning envisaged « before summer » – Liberation
The calendar initially posed by the prosecution programmed the opening of the hearing on Monday. It is ultimately rather « Before summer » that should be held the trial of the main suspect in the murder of Socayna24 years old in September 2023, the defense of the defendant having filed various appeals after the closure, in mid-February, of the indictment order.

It will take five months to investigators from the judicial police to go back to a teenagerwhich lives in the neighboring city of Château-Saint-Loup, a strong point of drug trafficking in the eastern districts of Marseille. The young man was only only 15 and a half at the time of the facts, but had already pointed out by his involvement in the local network, which his family would hold. For investigators, who are based in particular on the demarcation of his phone nearby in the evening of the disturbing facts and conversations intercepted in his cell, he would be the author of fatal shots, in a context of rivalries for the conquest of territories. He deny the facts firmly, refuting to having been on the scene on the evening of the shooting.
The instruction curly on February 16, the young man, currently in pre -trial detention near Marseille, is sent back for « voluntary homicide with premeditation ». While the court had set for March 27 the start of the trial (necessarily in camera, the respondent being a minor), the prosecution finally indicated on Monday that the hearing could not be held within the envisaged deadlines, « Due to the exercise of an appeal to the Court of Appeal ». The defense of the young person in question has indeed filed a request for nullity concerning the indictment order. The investigating chamber of the Aix Court of Appeal, which sat on Monday, will make its decision in early May. The painful wait therefore continues for the mother of Socayna who, since the drama, has moved with her youngest daughter to try to rebuild herself. « His life is suspended, focused on the injustice that has arrived at his daughter, in search of an impossible meaning to give to what happened to him », explains his lawyer, Marc-André Ceccaldi. Once all the appeals are exhausted, the hearing could be held in June, in any case within a reasonable time, the pre -trial detention of a minor cannot exceed six months renewable once.
