The trial initiated after the murder of C Gambino

The prosecutor begins by telling a little about the man behind the alias C Gambino. Karar Ramadan, whom he was really called, was described by friends and family as a calm and caring guy, who worked for long hours with his music.

According to the prosecutor, he was a trained system scientist. That he, as an artist, hid his face behind a mask was because he did not want to be recognized in the future.

– He planned for a life after the music where he wanted to get a family and have a regular job. Those plans came to an abrupt end.

He was on his way home from the gym And socializing with friends when he parked his car in the garage at Selma Lagerlöfs Torg. By then, according to the prosecutor, the suspects had already been there for about half an hour in a silvery Volvo.

– At least seven shots are fired, two of whom met the defendant. He alerted himself but died shortly thereafter and was pronounced dead at the hospital, says prosecutor Shahrzad Rahimi in the courtroom.

Then it fails for Karar Ramadan’s father who is in place as a plaintiff.

To the right of him are three young men who are charged with involvement in the act. A 20-year-old and a 21-year-old are suspected to have been in ambush in the silvery car and are charged with murder.

Both deny crime.

The third, also 20-year-old, is charged with, among other things, assisting when he is suspected to have acquired the car and helped to plan the fashion. He must also have set fire to the car with a 19-year-old who also he is charged but with on a link.

-He admits that he has bought the car but has lacked knowledge that it would be used for murder, says Ulrik Smedberg, 20-year-old’s lawyer.

The murder was, according to the prosecutor, One step in the two decades old conflict between two rival networks in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg.

According to prosecutor Shahrzad Rahimi, several of the accused so-called « B-actors » are in southern Biskopsgården, that is, the lower part of the leadership layer according to the police. There she leans on information presented by the police and the fact that they have been seen together with people belonging to the network.

When the 20-year-old, who has been charged with assisting, was arrested, he must, according to the indictment, received letters from high-ranking persons within the network. The investigation has, according to Rahimi, could not give any clear answer about why C Gambino was murdered.

– Many people want that question, not least the family. Despite extensive investigation, no motive picture has been crystallized. There is no indication that he himself belonged to any network. He was previously punished, she says.

Her theory is that he has had people in his vicinity with connection to the Northern Biskopsgården network. She mentions a person he has been seen with in public contexts.
