Isak Andic (71 years old), a billionaire and founder of the Mango's fashion giant, died on December 14, 2024 during a mountain trip in the Montserrat massif. When, together with his son Jonathan (43 years old), they visited Collbato caves in Sennitre, near Barcelona (Spain), the man was to slip and fall into a gap of over 150 meters.
Initially, the judge conducting the case suspended the investigation, considering that there was no evidence that the billionaire was killed as a result of a crime. Now, a few months after the tragedy, the court in Martorell, near Barcelona, decided to resume the investigation into the death of Isak Andica.
The reason is to be inconsistency in the testimonies of the son of the millionaire, Jonathan, who was the only accompanying person of the 71-year-old at the time when it came to accident (so classify police sources), and thus the only witness to the event. As « The Mirror » reports, Jonathan Andic was reportedly interrogated as a witness in connection with this tragedy.

According to the Catalan daily La Vanguardia, the son of the billionaire Jonathan andic on January 31 spent over three hours at the Martorell Police Station, where he testified in connection with his father's death.
According to the initial reports, later confirmed by investigators, the 43-year-old walked in front of his father when he heard the sound of falling stones behind him. Then he turned and saw that his father had fallen from the cliff.
The officers also listened to the partner of the deceased, Estefania Knuth, who was the last, apart from the chauffeur and son of Andica, saw him alive. In addition, talks were held with a local policeman who arrived at the scene of the accident.
The services analyzed the mobile phones of both the deceased and his son. The Catalan police Mossos d'Esquadra, responsible for determining the causes of the billionaire's death, and the courts refused to comment on the case official, only confirmed that previously discontinued investigation was resumed.

According to the sources of « El Periodico » and « El Pais », the police still believe that Isak Andica's death was the result of an accident during a journey in the mountains and nothing indicates the participation of third parties. Investigators, however, want to carefully examine the details of the incident, because the testimonies of the son of a deceased man differ from the findings made at the scene.
The Catalan police, as « El Periodico », is also to analyze « incompatibilities » in Jonathan Andica's testimonies. For example, he claimed that he left the car in one place, but in fact it was somewhere else, or denied that he was taking pictures of the area, although he actually took them.
Despite this, the police did not find that the businessman's son intentionally hid information or misleading in order to cover up a possible crime.

Isak andic was born in 1953 in Istanbul (Türkiye), in a family of Jewish Sefardian origin. At the age of 14, he moved to Spain, where he discovered that he had a trade flair. He started with his brother Nahman with selling clothes and shoes at street marketplaces, then in 1984 they founded a clothing company together Mango.
The network is valued at EUR 1.8 billion (at market prices). Until March 2024, the company employed over 14,000 employees in over 2,700 stores in 110 countries.
Last year, Mango announced cooperation with Victoria Beckham in creating a new capsule collection on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the brand. Shortly before the death of Isak Andica, the magazine « Forbes » estimated his assets at $ 4.5 billion, which made him the wealthiest resident of Catalonia and one of the richest people in Spain.
