The three professions that will survive the artificial intelligence revolution
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work, automating repeated tasks and causing uncertainty about the future of many professions. Recent reports show that it can delete up to eight million UK jobs and automate more than 50% of banking.
Despite these changes, Bill Gates has identified three professions that, according to him, will be less affected by him:
Coder – Although he may write code, Gates points out that human programmers will be needed to identify and correct mistakes, improve algorithms and support further technology development.
Biologists -He can analyze DNA and help diagnose diseases, but according to Gates, he lacks human creativity and intuition for scientific research and new discoveries.
Energy experts – Gates believes that the energy field is very complex to be fully automated and that human experts will be essential in achieving global climate objectives.
However, he admits that he will play a major role in all these areas, helping to accelerate innovation, but not completely replacing human expertise.
