The theater festival will be completed by a bestseller from the Netherlands inspired by a Polish creation
Awarded the performance
The performance « Boska Komedia » in Krakow has won the highest award for scenography. The younger generation of Polish director M. Wdowik created it by resisting one of the most prominent works of the Dutch writer Lucas Rijnevely with the same name. The action of the book is lit by the tragedy that breaks the life of a very religious family family – the death of the teenager’s son. Pantomima theater actors on stage make almost no text a shocking narrative of the darkness of everyday life, which breaks the terrible, destructive and destructive force.
The performance of the performance, and the protagonist of the book, is a ten -year -old girl, namely her and her relatives’ experiences are studied by how mourning accumulates in body and imagination. Eternal winter and frostbite, magical thinking, spells and prayers are thriving in the « evening of the evening ». All this is revealed by the viewers with the eyes of a girl entering adolescence. At the same time, she is both an observer of events, a narrator and a fantasy creator – protects memories of the family’s tragedy, struggles with a sense of guilt and responsibility for her parents, and struggle with the pain of inner emptiness. At the same time, it is also a story about the end of childhood.
Fully established festival
The Last Event of Theatrium is the last opportunity to be the theater festival on the seaside. During the festival, citizens and guests of the city actively used the opportunity to enjoy both the concentration of Lithuanian theater at the Lithuanian Theater Showcase Week and the International Festival program events. Tomas Juočys, one of the creators of Theatrium, Klaipėda Drama Theater, reviewed the ending festival that he is no longer surprised by the popularity of this theater festival, « I repeated it more than once, but when we started the festival, Special, with the challenge for the viewer, we understand those who choose not to come because it requires time, dedication and courage to be surprised. But year after year we see that people want that challenge, it is most important, and it inspires us. ”

Despite the experience of preparing the festival, his team of organizers feels excited every year, as an example of the theater director to the Lithuanian theater professionals who come from abroad, « and this year we wondered whether its content would be relevant to our guests from abroad,
Peculiar challenges
Most of the arrival and preparation of Theatrium’s performances for the stage was accompanied by peculiar challenges, such as the first « Process » directed by David PetroSyan from Ukraine. According to T. Juočio, even because of the smoothness of his arrival itself, « they from the war zone, but everything happened and succeeded. The reviews about the » process « were amazing. It was
Theater that people long for, but also very contemporary. Under the conditions under which these creators work, they are very modern and relevant. ”
Reviewing the performances already shown, the theater director, the Spanish leader, named the « forever » a scrupulously precise stage of the stage with amazing actor works, and the French Leviatan as a huge technical challenge, « from the beginning of its montage to showing seven days. The most old -fashioned, for example, we had to go to a number of theater to find the necessary lamps. ” The French performance did not even fit in the halls of Klaipėda Drama Theater – it was shown in Klaipėda City Municipality Cultural Center « Fishermen’s Palace ».

« The basics of the festival helped the basics of our theater. To try, to go where it is not always convenient.
In his opinion, it is important to evaluate the success of Theatrium in a slightly different perspective – a more global extent Klaipeda is a small city, so the theater with a boldly formed repertoire is a great achievement that is active and loyal viewers, « Festival guests from abroad often wonder how we can create an active audience on it. ”
Following the display of « evening nasty », a meeting with actors will take place at the II floor art of Klaipėda Drama Theater.
