The team of the Cetireni gymnasium has won the robotic championship, the category up to 10 years – the angle – see the world as it is!
The students of the Cetireni Gymnasium obtained the first place in the robotic championship, the category up to 10 years – a result, the more remarkable, as they are their first prize and has been participating for such competitions for a short time.
The team of three enthusiastic children and coordinated by Professor Gheorghe Ciobanu, managed to convince the jury through a unique project, built with much imagination, but also with technical rigor.
« It is an unexpected, but well-deserved result. The children worked a lot, they motivated each other and they learned quickly. They only prepared for a month for participation in the championship. Usually the preparations for such a competition take at least 6 months. I am very proud of them, » said the team coordinator.
The children competed with teams from all over the country, in a test of creativity and logic, where they had to solve a complex mission with the help of the robots built by themselves. « At first we did not know very well how to use the pieces and the program, but along the way we learned and liked it. Now we dream of going further, maybe even an international competition! », Filoteia Ursu, one of the team members, told us.
For the school in Cetireni, this award is a proof that, in a small community, the great success can take shape if there is passion, support and trust in the potential of children.
We mention that the team from Cetireni participated in the First Lego League Explore Moldova 2025 – the first steps in the world of innovation. In the category 6-10 years the smallest passionate and technology enthusiasts explored the world of depths, built functional models and presented original ideas for a cleaner and smarter future. In total, 29 teams, consisting of 165 children and 35 coaches from all over the country participated, transformed the imagination into reality at this year’s first event of the First Lego League Explore Moldova competition, carried out under the submerged theme.
