The sun, the first source of energy generation in Romania
It happens more and more often that, in the middle of the day, when it is the serene sky, the photovoltaic sector is the first source of energy generation in the country. Happens today and todaywhen we have at noon over 1,400 MW produced in solariumover what produces hydroelectrics and other sources.
This takes place for two reasons: First, because we already have a huge installed capacity in the photovoltaic: 2,500 MW InstalYou have a prosumators and another 1,800 MW in institutionalized photovoltaic parks. They all produce when the sky is clear.
Moreover, and this is the second factor, they have absolute priority in the market. By law and because it is the cheapest energy in the market(being a subsidÞIroning by all consumers, through the system of green certificates), the photovoltaic dominates the market. Against the background of a low consumption, which only rarely passes 6,000 MW, this energy that comes from solar sources floods the market and leaves externally, because there is no demand locally. Basically, we export subsidy during the days, if it is the sun. However, as the photovoltaic tends to 0, we quickly pass on imports, because we do not have enough production from conventional sources, which will produce in the tape.
Thus we have a situation that cannot be worse for the national energy system. We export cheap energy day and import expensive energy in the evening and night.
