The summer sea camp in Narva-Yesuu opens the third season
The Surf & Fun youth camp in the resort Narva-Yesuu opens the third season and again invites the children to enjoy all the joys of the rest by the sea. The program is saturated with events: Zumba, beach picnics and relay races, evening bonfires, campaigns, classes on sapps are waiting for children.
This year, camp shifts will not be three, but four. Children 9-14 years old are traditionally invited to the first three, the fourth shift is intended for adolescents 11-16 years old.
As the head of the camp told the Narva Newspaper, the teacher Daria Berestova, every season Surf & Fun accepts about 100 participants, whose average age is 10 years. However, older children have long asked to make a separate shift for them, and this year the requests were heard.
Living and nutrition conditions
Children are placed in rooms with amenities (shower, toilet, TV) for 2-4 people. Pyatraza power: three main meals and two snacks. Breakfasts take place at the hotel, and dinners and dinners are in the Barrakuda cafe.
When you want to do well, do it yourself
“Earlier, every year I thought where my child would rest in the summer,” Daria recalls. -One year, her daughter went to the Kotka camp in Lahaemaa, the other to Viking-NiiGrid in the call. Since 2020, I began to organize the camps myself. At first they were urban, without an overnight stay, language (in Estonian and English), as well as ordinary youth. Later, away camps in the belt appeared. But it was the camp that remained in his native Ust-Narva.
“Our resort city is ideal for children’s vacations,” Daria smiles. “And as they say, if you want something to be done well, do it yourself.” So three years ago I organized a full-fledged children’s camp in Narva-Yesuu.
The camp of the camp was the Laine Hotel, located in the center of the resort – behind the Maxima store, 10 minutes walk from the beach and a bright park.
Camps have a pedagogical education and undergo additional training. This year, Surf & Fun is ready to accept two more active young people who will be additionally trained at the expense of the organization.
The camp of the camp combines outdoor activities with cognitive events. In addition to beach entertainment and zumba, children are waiting for campaigns in the forest, quests for Narva-Yesuu, organized Quest Me, events with Lazerzone, meetings with the team of rescuers. Last year, for example, the campaign was accompanied by the leader of the voluntary rescuers of Iga ELU Alexei Nesmorov. The artist and teacher Tatyana Sonina conducted creative master classes. The camp also continues to cooperate with the Motus surf, where children are taught swimming on the sap-dosks (SAP-an inflatable or tough board for rowing, sitting or lying) and kayaki. Thanks to the support from the fair transition, this summer will be able to make educational trips and excursions.
Half of the tickets has already been sold out, although there is still time before the first shift.
“Many of those who have been resting with us, for example, have been before lasting, since then every year they are looking forward to new shifts,” Daria shares. “They don’t even ask for the program – they just want to get to the camp again. For me, this is the most correct sign of trust and high assessment of our work.”
