The successes of the tennis players in Ungheni at national competitions – the angle – see the world as it is!
On April 23, in the commune of AVdarma (Comrat), a tournament dedicated to the International Table Tennis Day (WTTD 2025) was held.
The Ungheni Municipal Sports School was represented by two tennis players: Nichita Mandatari and Sergiu Nazaria, who competed in the Under 19 category (the year 2006 and smaller). From over 65 participants, from different age categories, Sergiu Nazaria ranked V, and Nichita Mandatari obtained the silver medal, a cup and a diploma.
The competition also represented an important test before the Championship of the Republic of Moldova Under 19, which will take place in May.
On May 4 and 5, in the municipality of Balti, the Championship of the Republic of Moldova was held in the Under 19 table tennis, the 2006 age category and smaller.
This championship was also attended by four tennis players, disciples of the Municipal Sports School Ungheni, namely Nichita Mandatari, Sergiu Nazaria, Laurențiu Talpe and Artiom Pavlov.
The best results were registered by Nichita (student at LT « Gheorghe Asachi »), being awarded with the bronze medal, cup and diploma at the individual test and another bronze medal with Sergiu at double.
The purpose and objective of this championship was the selection of the team of the Republic of Moldova Under 19, of which Nichita is also part, to participate in the Championship of Europe that will take place in July, in the Czech Republic, the city of Ostrava.
