The struggle for a fair society

On Women's Day, March 8, we want to focus on women's health and the importance of research to ensure equal health services for all women.

Red has long fought for a just society based on solidarity and gender equality, and this includes a strong obligation to improve women's health.

Women's health has historically been under -prioritized, which has led to inadequate research on diseases that particularly affect women. This has resulted in delays in diagnosis and treatment, as well as a general lack of understanding of women's health needs. In order to rectify this bias, it is crucial to increase focus on research in women's health.

Red believes that a robust public health service is the key to ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender or background, gets the health care they need. This also involves ensuring that the research conducted is diverse and inclusive, so that it reflects the needs of the entire population.

In addition to strengthening research, it is important to ensure that the knowledge generated is implemented in practice. This means that health professionals must receive the necessary training and resources in order to offer the best possible treatment to women. Furthermore, it must be arranged for women to make informed choices about their own health through good information and support.

On this International Women's Day, we renew our obligation to fight for a health policy that puts women's health and research at the forefront. Through solidarity and joint efforts, we can create a society where all women get the health care they deserve.
