26 -year -old Turkish young people who set out on a bike to go to Mecca from Germany Burak Ozturk, came to his mother’s hometown Aksaray.
Ozturk, who dealt with electrical work in Stuttgart, Germany, set out with an electric bike 63 days ago to reach the holy land. Ozturk, who left more than half of a long course of about 6 thousand 500 kilometers, reached Türkiye by following the route of Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and Greece.
He stopped by his mother’s hometown and Somuncu Baba
Öztürk, who has been pedaling on the territory of Türkiye for about 20 days, reached Aksaray’s hometown Aksaray after taking a break in different cities. Praying at the Somuncu Baba Tomb here, Öztürk met with his old friends who followed him on social media and wanted to get to know him.
Now the goal is to reach the holy land by passing to Syria via Niğde and Adana.

Öztürk shared his journey with his followers from his social media accounts and stated that he was engaged in electrical affairs with his family in Stuttgart. Öztürk reminded that he had come from Germany to Istanbul before, and said:
My first journey was very good, I enjoyed it. Recently, my morale was broken in Germany. Again, I wanted to go on a journey and catch that happiness again. However, this time I enlarged my goal. The most sacred place for Muslims is Mecca. That’s why I set off on a bike to be a pilgrim. I’m on my way for 63 days. I spent the month of Ramadan in the Balkan countries; This added a different spiritual taste to my journey. I have a road of about 3 thousand kilometers in front of me right now. I plan to reach my target by translating 100 kilometers every day.
Emphasizing that his journey was smoothly, Öztürk said that he carries all the equipment he needed. Ozturk said that he was prepared by thinking about every detail from his clothes to charging cables and said that he did not have any difficulties with the support of the people he encountered along the way.

Öztürk, who has been sharing on social media by producing close to 1000 content so far, said that his intention was to make Umrah at the beginning, but over time it turned into a pilgrimage worship:
I hope I will continue my way with my bike in the holy land. After arriving in Mecca via Medina and fulfilling my pilgrimage worship there, I will return to Germany as a pilgrim.
Öztürk’s meaningful journey, Aksaray Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Mustafa Dogan did not escape the attention. Dogan said that he wanted to meet him as soon as he was aware of the story of the young pilgrim candidate and said:
Our brother has reached our country by crossing many countries of Europe. Today he took a break in his mother’s hometown. Going on such a journey requires great self -confidence. Öztürk is an example for the survival of spiritual values among young people.
