The story of Nina Moraru – the angle – see the world as it is!
From Siberia to Untești: the road to return to roots
Nina Moraru was born in the winter of 1956, surrounded by the harsh colds of Siberia. The parents, both deported, although they fell in love on foreign lands, were linked to the same roots. In one hand with luggage and another with the children they returned in the spring of 1957, in the village of Unțești. « I was a child that is very mournful and put on the shots, but nevertheless, I liked the school, » she remembers the childhood years.
Study years and passion for numbers
« I had an endless childhood of difficulties, but still very happy, » Heroine's memories. The average school of 10 classes does it in the village of natives, then 5 years later, graduates the Technical University of Moldova, the Faculty of Accounting and Economy. This choice, the protagonist, explains it in the following way: « I loved the figures, I liked to play with them, to discover their universe, it was an ideal world for myself, which is why I chose to make accounting. At that time, the accountants were respected with teachers and doctors. The years of study, I can say with confidence, that they were some of the most memorable for me. ”
The story of an immortal love
Asked what is the most beautiful memory, grandmother Nina (as I usually get used to tell her children in the village) recognized me with a tender smile, that there can be nothing but marriage to the beloved man. « I met a concert when I was 9th class. I recited the poems, and he was playing the accordion and a vocal. If I confess now, I think he conquered me with his voice, although he was physically a handsome young man (he laughs sarcastically). I was going to tell him Badea Feghea, because he was 5 years older than me. We met 7 years before we got married, and we were asked by the wife we were five times. Not that I didn't want to, but my dad was afraid I would give up the university, but in the end he softened and I married in the last year of college. It was a beautiful love, based on trust, sincerity and devotion ”.
From figures to stage: Cultural Renaissance of the Village of Unțești
For 25 years, Nina Moraru worked chief economist and accountant in Vulpești, Mănoilești and Unţești villages. « I had a very high responsibility, I directly depended the salary of over 900 employees. But I liked and dedicated every part of me. » . Arrived in retirement in 2014, he was employed as head of the Culture House in the village of Untești. « I did not pass a contest to hire myself, in fact, I do not know why, but everyone was running away from this job. It was hard for me to understand why no one wanted it. «
By researching the activity of the cultural home until 2014, I discovered that, in a way, it almost did not exist, sometimes only dance evenings for youth on weekends were organized. With the employment by grandmother Nina, a « golden age » began for the cultural life in the village. Initially the protagonist began to work with the children from the « Vasile Vasilache » gymnasium, and then to attract the youth and the adults in the village to get involved. « I liked talented people, who had what they said and whose soul and face shone when they were on stage »- Mrs. Nina said.
Included by the wave of nostalgia, we remember both smiling by the first concert, organized in the spring of 2014 on the occasion of March 8. The first for the grandmother (Nrnina Moraru) as an organizer and the first for the author as a participant. « I had so many emotions, almost the whole village came to follow the concert. I felt a deep pride that we could gather so many talented people together and their relatives who could enjoy the stars of our village. After the concert a lot of people approached me with words of support and thanks, ”says his grandmother.
Family – the most precious treasure
After good hours in which we have overcome the most beloved to the soul memories, the protagonist told us that the merits for wonderful concerts over the years do not belong to them, but also to his family who have helped her in organizing events. Especially the daughter Victoria with grandchildren Irina and Laura. « Although he is old, my grandmother remains curious and open to learn new things. He is a true leader in everything he does. It has always been and is respected and admired by the inhabitants of the village. Grandma Nina is an unseen source of love, wisdom and courage, and above all, it is our support. He teaches us to see the beautiful in everything that surrounds us and to value people for their kindness, ”the heroine's granddaughter, Laura, confessed.
« My mother is a very responsible person, any work she starts to have to end. It has a lot of power, perseverance and kindness, I think this would be why most people love it and respect it. I notice that the work at the Culture House has changed a lot, of course for the better. From a lonely world of figures, he came to work in a new environment, full of people, but he liked it. She loves to be surrounded by soul, modest and lively people. Not in vain she also says that man sanctifies the place. I would definitely specify that my mother is like a ray of light, as a dose of heat when she feels, that the clouds have covered the sky, ”the daughter of Nina Moraru, Victoria told us.
Village Treasure: Inheritance that does not fit in a dowry crate
The significant contribution of grandmother Nina can not be attested only on the basis of the concerts organized under her leadership, but also by enriching the « dowry » of the village with objects of significant historical importance, such as carpets, towels and folk costumes, clay vessels, sunducts (crate for dowries) and a sofa (wood).
Another pride of our heroine is the ensemble of women of the village « Unteaștencile », which has as limbs 10 talented women with different ages, who promote through the songs interpreted the love of the nation, the traditional values and the cultural beauty, keeping alive the ancient inheritance.
« Mrs. Nina is a person very close to my heart. He is our grandmother, of all, what always gathers us to do wonderful things. She planted both in my heart and in other young people the pleasure for music, dance and history. I am sure that the advice I received from it will remain deep-printed in my mind. Much of my cultural evolution I owe it, which by daily dedication showed me that the work has beautified man ”-Valeria Babin, a member of the ensemble, told us.
The secret of a fulfilled life: « Be happy with your loved ones »
Being an extremely cheerful nature, Grandma Nina told us that she has a lot of passions. « I really like writing, especially articles, scenes and stories. Most of the sketches performed at the concerts and events in the village were thought by me. It seems amazing to me, to see how, from mere words written on the sheet, they come to life and become works with the help of talented people. » Nina Moraru also told us that she likes to look at serials, garden and tell the young people and the people in the village.
After ten years of hard work, dedicated to the community, Nina Moraru went out in the spring of 2024 to the « second pension », well deserved. Asking her to leave a tip for today's generation, grandmother Nina urged young people to take full advantage of the moments and moments offered. « Whether he is good or bad, every episode of life matters. Be happy with your loved ones. ”
