The status evaluated after night
Respondents have not seen any signs of the man who is looking for a fishing ground in the sea since they arrived on the scene. The search for the person has lasted for over three hours.
This is stated by Baldur Ólafsson, deputy chief of police in the capital area, in a conversation with mbl.is.
There were eyewitnesses who reported the police about the man, but police received the report just before 5 pm today. Baldur says police have seen the man briefly after the report was received.
Conditions with good adversity
No decision has been made to stop searching, but according to Baldur, the situation will be reassessed every half hour to an hour until the evening.
When asked, Baldur conditions for searching are good.
Now it is starting to flow, does it have any effect on the search?
« Everything has this effect, » says Baldur.
There is a great deal of reaction to the rock gardens on the fishing grounds. Rescue crews, police, specialty divers, privately owned boats and the Coast Guard helicopter are among those who have been involved in the search.
The search has moved further into the sea, and rescue forces are looking for stones at the sea yard.
