Music and city culture festival Station NarvaWhich will be held in Narva from September 4 to 7, announced the first performers of the music program, including the local stars Tommy Kash and Nublu, the masters of Jazz-fuzhn Naissso Freeform Quartet and the Danish indie group Efterklang.

This year, the Narva Museum, which is located in Herman’s historical castle, will again be the heart of the musical program of the Station Narva. On Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6, Estonian artists will perform there Tommy Cache, Nublu, Naissso Freeform Quartet, Vaiko Eplik Ja Eliit and Ingaas well as the Danish indie group Efterklang. The festival will open on Thursday, September 4, with a special Estonian Voices program; The musical part of the event will also be presented in the coastal Art Club Ro-Ro.

Tommy Cache will fill the border city with its playful sound and extraordinary humor, which attract attention to it all over the world. Of course, his song Espresso Macchiato, which will sound in the semifinals of the Eurovision song contest, will also be performed in Narva, as well as his instantly basement dance movements.

Vaiko Eplik Ja Eliit

Nublu, which last week also gave a successful concert in Narva in honor of Europe Day, will return here in September with a program, which will include both fresh hits that headed the charts and the 2019 für oksana hat, directly related to the border city.

Vaiko Eplik and his Eliit supergroup will perform a composition from his last year’s album Lähen Müüjaks, based on Betty Alver’s texts, as well as classic songs of different periods.

Tyna Naissoo

The legend of Estonian jazz to Tyn Naissoo will come to Narva with his new Naissao Freeform Quintet group. A real master class in the style of Fuzhn is expected, which is in abundance on the group of the same name, released last year. The record received recognition of critics and incorporated the wibes of Free jazz, Fank and psychedelia.

INGA, who introduced her interpretations of Jaak Yoala’s heritage, along with Mater Longfond at the Station Narva concert-opening in 2023, returns to the border city with a new image, dance show and a rich sound palette, inspired by R&B, House and Techno.

The Danish indie group EFTERKLANG, which over the years has given several English concerts in Tallinn, will come to Narva for the first time. They have been creating for more than 20 years and last year released the seventh album of Things We have in Common. According to the PitchFork musical portal, in their ballads, made in the style of chamber pop music and thoughtful electronics, there are “moments worthy of the most powerful pop group in the world”.

The festival will open on Thursday, September 4, a free concert at the Tartu University of Tartu, with the participation of the Estonian Voices vocal sextot awards under the leadership of the artistic director of Kadrey Workpiece. Among others, songs from the last album of the Kallimale group with elements of jazz, Estonian and African folk music will sound.

New performers and the entire Station Narva program will be declared the upcoming summer.

In addition, the festival will present an art program, excursions, promotions in the city space, traditional Narva joint meals and creative projects of the Youth Laboratory Station Narva.

The organizers of the Station Narva festival are Mtü Muusikanädal and Oü ShiftWorks in collaboration with the Narva team.

Youth from Ida-Virumaa, who took part in « Youth Laboratory » Station Narvalaunched last year, with the support of the Fair Transition Fund, is also actively involved in the preparation of the festival program, implementing its own ideas-from smart applications for urban space to marketing and creating a new generation digital platform for Station Narva.

The festival is supported by the city of Narva, the Ministry of Culture, the integration fund and Fortaco Estonia.

The Youth Laboratory project is co -financing by the European Union through structural funds of the Fair Transition Fund.
