The situation between Israel and Iran will affect the price of oil and in Macedonia
The war between Israel and Iran will have impacts on oil prices and Macedonia, according to President of the Energy Regulatory Commission Aquatic Services and Services for Municipal Waste Management (ERC) Marko Bislimovski, but does not expect impact on other products.
After Israel’s night attacks on Iran, he said the price of world -wide brand markets was increased by ten dollars this morning. The increase, according to Bislimovski, is six-seven dollars.
– There will be absolutely influences, to see how it will affect in the coming days. For next week I do not believe that there will be some drastic impact when we make the decision, but further if such a trend of high prices for oil derivatives continues. Absolutely will also have an impact on the price that users will pay in Macedonia – Bislimovski said today ahead of the panel session « Energy Efficiency and Integration of Renewable Energy Sources in the Communal Sector » within the international conference « The future of the communal sector ».
He expressed hope that the prices would stabilize after the peak, citing the example of the war in Ukraine when the diesel price reached $ 110 a barrel.
« We hope this will be just one pick and prices will continue to stabilize, as it was the case when the war in Ukraine began, there was a pick and stabilized and in the last few months they ranged between $ 65 and $ 68 a barrel. Now we have the first time the price has been the price of $ 78 a barrel this morning, but let’s hope it will be just one pick – said Bislimovski.
He recalled the rise of most products by rising oil prices during the start of the war in Ukraine and that the reduction of oil derivatives did not return them.
– When we talk about the prices of oil derivatives, the diesel when it was $ 110 was the cause of a number of prices. Today the price of diesel is 66-67 denars, and the prices of the products that were then raised did not return. I do not believe that this will have a dramatic impact on other products used in Macedonia – ERC President concluded.
