The security guard who killed the burglar: ‘I didn’t know he was hit, I would give him my blood’
It was Saturday when my brother told me it needed 300 euros, I don’t know why, I guess his girlfriend was pregnant. He persuaded me to go with him there, to TPK Nova. I told him I would not, that I would give him 150 euros and the older brother would give him another 150 and he had money. But he invaded and eventually the next day we got to the fence, through the forest. We left the bikes, walked through the hole on the fence and reached that building. Thus, Dejan D. (40) began his testimony at the trial of a security guard who killed his brother.
In this procedure, the injured party was killed, but also because Sinisa P. (48), according to the prosecution, fired at him. Dejan D. says they came to the hangar to take the secondary raw materials they intended to sell, but he saw through the window with a color bin.
– I quickly went up and saw that this color is worth about 150 euros. I told Antony, 36, to better take it, he agreed. We walked inside, I put two buckets by the window and I left two more. As I took them, the sensor sounded. Antoniah said ‘security guard’ and we started running away. He yelled ‘I’ll be your mother now’ and fired at the air. Antoniah overtook me. One shot was calling past me and by sound I would say that he hit the fence, the other into the tree. I turned to the security guard to see what was happening. I saw that he pulled his hand with a gun through the fence and was shooting. He fired one 4 – 5 bullets. Antonija told me ‘Create hit me’. I didn’t see the blood, I thought it was a gas gun, it was just a wound, ”he said.

The ambulance did not want without police
Dean D. claims that Antonijo D. fell to his knees when the security guard hit him, and as he was much larger than Dean, he had to wrap him out and pull him out through the hole in the fence measuring 120 times 120 centimeters.
– I don’t even know how I succeeded because Antonia was twice as big as I do. When I dragged him, I felt that he was getting harder, to relax. I lowered him to the floor, saw that wound. I called my boss to ask him if a gas gun could cause a wound, he told me he couldn’t. I told him to bring me water and tried to keep my brother awake. He was pale, his lips were blue. He died within a few minutes. I returned to where we left the bikes because the boss brought water on the engine and told him to go forward to look for the police. That police who are otherwise, this time was not. I called the Emergency Room and ran around Radnicki where I stopped an ambulance. I told them my brother was shot, and they told me I couldn’t do anything without a police, who soon came across, so we all went to Antony together. The ambulance declared death, and the cop asked me to show him where we got in and what happened – he said.
He also says that he was not immediately called an ambulance, but a ‘boss’, and that he may have made a mistake.
« Maybe I didn’t need to pull him toward the bikes through the fence, maybe I should have called the emergency room as soon as he fell, but I was scared for life, » said Dejan D.
In replying to the defense question, he said they left the home at 3 pm and 20 minutes, at about 4 pm they were already in the warehouse.
– The security guard came 5 or 6 minutes after an alarm had come up. When he dropped his first shot into the air, he was about six meters from us, behind the fence. When we were running, I had nothing in my hands, I don’t remember if Antonia had. When I heard that the bullet hit the fence, it was 10 meters from us. Antonia was a little further away from me, when he was hit he was already on the way out. It was not clear to me why he was shooting if we were running – he said, adding that he had not heard if the security guard had shouted anything else after the first shot.

« I heard something grunt, » he says.
He had a phantom on him.
– Only my eyes were seen. Antonia had a hood and something on his face, I think of that medical mask – he admitted and noted that he had closed the hole in the fence behind him, and when he showed her to the cop, she was open.
« In my opinion, only a security guard could do it, which shows that he followed us, » he said.
Police reported in July 2024 that this hole was made on the fence a week before this robbery.
‘Yelled’ shoot, shoot ‘
Sinisa P. all this time he listened to his head bowed and his arms slimmed. He would look at the witness here and there, and he was distracted enough for the defense to ask for two shorter pauses. In the end, he also made defense.
– I understand that you are evaluating whether I am a man who could kill another man in cold blood or not. I am not such a man. I had no intention of killing anyone, if I could bring back the time late, I would have even met them even more so, so I would give them 150 euros that they no longer come. I didn’t even know I hit him because I didn’t see him at that moment, if I knew, so I would give him my blood if he needed. Almost a thousand times I have unscrewed the movie in my head from that day to try to figure out how and why. Every morning I wake up with that in my head. I would say that I am a little paranoid, so I take my job seriously. I have been doing this job for 22 years, I don’t have a career stain. I have experience. I was home that day because such a deal is at the company, I can go for lunch or rest if I need to. About 15 and 30, 15 and 40, I received a report that it was a burglary. A colleague said the burglary was in the same place again, because it was so for four weeks in a row, in the same building. I got in an official car and headed for there, there was no crowd, and I didn’t even rush too much. In fact, I didn’t want to meet the thieves – said Sinisa P., becoming visibly more distracted.
He described his arrival to the warehouse.
– I came and parked the car. I unlocked the large heavy door of the fence that I have to pull toward me. I ran about 50 meters to the building and admit, I cursed. I shouted ‘you have enough, your mother j ** em’. One was already ten meters away from me, the other ran after him. I yelled ‘Stop, I’ll shoot’ and fired a shot into the air. I returned the gun to the cover. Then the third jumped out of the room. They had a phantom, a cap. At that moment, I do not know how many there are, whether they are armed, what their intentions are. I had no intention of killing anyone. They started running diagonally through that meadow, that I wanted to kill someone or hurt someone, I could do it, but I didn’t, ”he said.
This is a big change, because so far the prosecution claimed, as did Dejan D., that they were only two. But according to Siniši P., it was three masked burglaries.
– I didn’t care, I trembled. They kept running, I yelled ‘I will shoot’ and fired another shot into the air. Then I was behind the fence from which the whole meadow was not seen, I pushed my hand through the hole in the fence and once again fired at the air. I heard them shout ‘shoot, shoot’ and then this third turned to me. I shot once more, it is possible that my hand has shown at that moment. I had no intention of shooting them. Antonia was not even in sight because of a fence that partially obscures the meadow, so I couldn’t even intentionally shoot it. I didn’t even know I hit him because the last thing I remember was that they ran through the door together. I came back to check the room to see if there were more – said Sinisa P.
When asked by the defender if it was possible that they were shouting ‘shooting, shooting’, and he heard ‘shoot, shoot’, he says he is.
« It is possible, because the turmoil came about, but I heard a shot, shoot, » and in that moment this last of the three turned to me, « he repeated.

Fired four bullets
He did not answer the prosecution issues, only the defense and the court. Otherwise he had 15 bullets, and after this drama, he remained 11 of them. He also told his family situation.
– I am 22 years old, I have never had a career incident. I worked half working hours, only on Sundays, because I also have my own company, I am involved in the removal of non -dangerous waste with two vans I bought, one on credit, one on leasing. I cut the hedge, I mow, so, what it should. I am married, we have four children, one of whom is sick, not walking or talking, is eight years old. We live in a house that is still under construction – he said to whom he lives with and where.
She has a civilian PTSD, which is why the defense also requested a psychiatric expertise, to determine when it came about and whether it was because of this case. Until that July 21, 2024, the only incident he experienced in 2012, when he returned from a shift at a nightclub where he was a security guard, and in the store he found two young men trying to steal wine.
– They yelled at the cashiers, women about 60 years old, and I can’t turn their heads away from the problem. I told them to leave it and they went, but they didn’t want to. There was a pile, the bottles broke, one of them with a broken throat bottle hit the arcade, so I had seams, ”he said.
If he is convicted, he can get up to five years for both points, and Dejan D. is seeking a property damage of 60,000 euros for himself, while he has not yet made the damage to his brother.
