Encouraged by the stories of collectors, after the last storm she decided to look for the Baltic gold on the beach. – For me, such amber collection after a storm is a real relaxation. In addition, it draws in a lot, it has something of gold fever in it, because I came to rummage in these sticks for the third time – he says.
In the light of UV, the amber is yellow
In the dark, in the light of ultraviolet amber begins to shine yellow and aquamarine. It is easier to find them then, and there are the most of them after a storm on the beach. – So far I find only small pieces, but in total during these three days, I have already collected almost all a handful. – We came here with the whole family, as part of such a recreational trip – they say « Fakt ». – We collect amber at night, because in ultraviolet light it can be seen better among these shells and sticks. Such searching is very addictive and resembles golden fever, because here you are also waiting for the biggest piece – they say. Here, there is usually amber the size of a large nail. – But each such find pleases and makes emotions even greater – they add.
Collectors set out in search
Despite the fact that what threw the sea to the storm was searched by other collectors, during the day in sunny light it turns out that not everything was gathered by them.
Night gatherers use ultraviolet light in search, because in such lighting amber begins to celebrate in the celadon and yellow color and is perfectly distinguished from the rest. Where in normal daylight you can only see the dark gray mass of shells, sticks and braided grasses, in ultraviolet light, aquage -yellow points also appear and these are usually amber.
Soon another chance to find amber
Sometimes there are a lot of them on the beach after the storm and it’s hard to believe that during the day no one had noticed them before. As it turns out, not only amber shines at night, but also decayed wood, as well as some types of plastic, but collectors still think that this is the easiest way to search.
