The second Baltic Take Over / Day will take place in Finland
On three creatively saturated days, the _Baltic Take Over_ program will allow the Finnish audience to get acquainted with the works of performing artists living in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, which will simultaneously create a dialogue with the local Turkish stage art scene.
The festival will feature six performances by Baltic artists, which will be screened at different venues in the Turkish city. The festival program also plans discussions, negotiations and networking activities for professionals.
The festival will be opened by Hannah Criten’s Tangoo and Sigrid’s own show Cowbody / oh wow, it’s you!, which combines existential humor with a deeply narrative. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience Anita Kremm’s show ME / HER, Who explores the relationship between two bodies in search of new ways to experiencing empathy. Meanwhile, Agniete’s Lisičkiniates show Hands up, which Latvian audience had the opportunity to experience the 2022 International New Theater Festival Homo novus, Viewers will be invited to go to the city space to experience a performance political intervention.

April 12, the closing day of the festival, will take place in cooperation with the Festival’s Finnish partners – Performing Arts Center Finland (Eskus), Tinfo, Circus & Dance info Finland And the Turkish city. It includes networking events, discussions with cultural industry, a thinking laboratory with Finnish producer, writer and editor Heidie Bakstroma and closing party Tehda theaters.
Baltic Take Over takes place in cooperation with Tehdas theaters, New Performance Turkish Biennale, Ehkä-Production, Barker-Taetteri, Viinatehdas, Performing Arts Center Finland (Eskus) and Aurinkobaletti. The Festival of 2025 is supported by the Baltic Culture Foundation, the Nordic and Baltic Mobility Gravel Culture, the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki, the Estonian Ministry of Culture and the State Culture Capital Foundation.
