The SEC orders the closure of the electoral offices of some entities

State election omissioner Ilirjan Celibashi today administratively reviewed the request from the Electoral Subject Coalition « Democratic Party for Great Albania », for the immediate termination of the transmission of the Spot/Advertising of the Socialist Party of Albania.

After listening to the parties’ claims, the review will continue at the next hearing after administering the evidence. At today’s session the SEC examined the 21 reports of violations filed by election campaign monitors for the period 24-28 April 2025. Contrary to Article 5, paragraph 1 of Instruction no. 6, dated 23.3.2021 of the SEC, Electoral Subjects: Coalition « Democratic Party-ALBANIA for Great Albania » have opened election offices in the municipalities of Debar, Fier, Kamza, Këlcyra, Korça, Përmet, Puka and Tirana.

The Opportunity Party has opened the electoral offices in the municipalities of Kukes and Gjirokastra. The « Euro -Atlantic Coalition » has opened the election offices in the municipalities of Gjirokastra, Kamza and Tirana. « The Social Democratic Party of Albania » has opened the election offices in the municipalities of Tirana and Kamza. The Commissioner left the subjects 24 hours for the closure of the election offices, meanwhile the electoral entities « Party Opportunities and » Euro -Atlantic Coalition « were given time to deposit evidence/documents that prove that they are the headquarters of their parties and not the election offices.

The denunciation no. 137 ID/2025, where in the Municipality of Durres, the Flame Administrative Unit, propaganda materials of the “PD-ASM” coalition, posted on electric poles, in violation of Article 3, paragraph 2 of Instruction no. 6, dated 23.3.2021, of the SEC. The removal of propaganda materials from the above -mentioned electric poles was required.
